And as game developers, we have a heritage and pedigree in making racing games for over 10 years now. Together we’ve been making Project CARS as a team – our own expertise combined with the wishes and direction of the community.

With the approval of both real gamers and real race drivers therefore, the development of Project CARS has now come full circle and has attracted the attention of other race drivers such as German race driver Rene Rast, Nicki Thiim and Philipp Eng who have used the game as practice for their real-life events.

Over a year ago, Slightly Mad Studios released an API giving the community the ability to plug directly in to Project CARS and pull out a variety of information. The intent here was to allow you the players the ability to create your own supporting apps for all the weird and wonderful devices and hardware you own.
